So a couple weeks back I started playing Dragon Age Inquisition and so far I’m enjoying it. Now I haven’t really gotten that far in to the game, only a handful of story missions at this point. Mainly I’ve been spending my time running around doing side quests.
One of the things I have enjoyed the most is the character creation. I would have to say this is one of the, if not the most, in depth creator I’ve used. My only complaint is that you cannot adjust anything other than the facial features.
If you want to see a bit of the character creator here’s a video I recorded on twitch. I don’t do the voice over thing, because people tend to want funny personalities and I’m not intentionally funny.
From what I’ve played I can see this game is going to take me forever to finish playing. I’m somewhat of a completion-ist, as long as it doesn’t involve replaying missions over and over. RPG completion is something I enjoy. There is a ton of exploring to do and side missions to do. I think I’m about 6 hours in to the game and have done almost nothing but side quests.
I’ve heard that there is over 400 hours of content in this game, though I don’t know if that is really true or not. I could see 100-150 hours. Maybe more if you do everything there is to do.
I do have high hopes for the rest of the game. The story is great and the voice over work is stellar. I only played the first dragon age game, I do have the second one, but everyone keeps telling me not to play it.
Other than that I can’t really talk about the game and what it has to offer since I haven’t gotten far. Maybe once I get further in I can talk about it more, but overall initial impressions are great.
