AggroChat #542 – Oh, It’s Brat

Featuring: Ashgar, Belghast, Kodra, Tamrielo, and Thalen
Hey Folks! We start off the show with a discussion about how we all dogpiled on Discord and attempted the pre-release version of the MIT Mystery Hunt… and for those completely lost about the show title, one of the clues to one of the puzzles… was just the specific color of the Charlie XCX Brat Album. From there, Bel talks a bit about the Halloween event in Guild Wars 2 and how some folks take the Mad King’s Labyrinth way the hell too seriously.  Tam discusses what seems to be a complete rework of how the factions work in Infinity, and Bel discusses the launch of World of Warcraft Legion Remix.  We talk a bit more about Hades II, and more specifically playing the game AFTER beating Cronos.  Finally, Bel talks just a little bit about his early experiences in Blue Protocol, where he is trying to find the fun in the game.

Topics Discussed:

  • AggroChat vs Mystery Hunt
  • Mad King’s Labyrinth in GW2
  • Infinity Major Factions Update
  • World of Warcraft Legion Remix
  • Hades II
  • Blue Protocol

AggroChat #428 – Bad Big Boss

Featuring: Ashgar, Belghast, Grace, and Tamrielo
Hey Folks! Tonight we are down three folks and contemplated not recording at all…  eventually deciding on the recording to save ourselves from a mega show.  The original intent was to record a fairly short show, but ultimately we ended up chatting away for the full time regardless.  Tonight we talk about Diablo IV again and some of our frustrations.  This weekend Grace got to play the game in the Open Beta so we start out with their opinions and devolve from there.  After that Tam talks a bit about his experiences with Triangle Strategy.  Finally, we talk about Adepticon and all of the news coming out of it for new miniature gaming releases.

Topics Discussed:

  • Diablo IV
    • Grace’s Opinions
    • More Frustrations
  • Triangle Strategy
    • Awful Name Great Game
  • Adepticon Reveals
    • Warhammer 40k
    • Infinity
    • Ral Partha Nostalgia

Since this will be releasing on Mother’s Day, the crew wants to wish all of the mothers that listen to the podcast a very happy one.  After a few slim weeks we once again had the full crew, which is always something to be celebrated.  I find it funny how when we have what feels like a limited amount of things to talk about, it also seems like we delve into some of the more interesting discussions.  The shows title this time comes from a game breaking bug that was introduced recently in Stellaris.  We talk a bit about Bel’s experiences starting Knights of the Fallen Empire, and this leads into an interesting talk about our thoughts regarding sequels and whether or not we want the previous cast of characters to continue.  We also talk about concerns regarding the Diablo 3 Necromancer expansion, and that ultimately leads to some discussion about Destiny 2 and the currently lack of a PC pre-order option.

Topics Discussed:  Stellaris – Knights of the Fallen Empire – Star Wars Galaxies – Sequels and Continuing with Characters – Replayability – Fallen London – Infinity – Diablo 3 – Playing Catch up in WoW – Diablo 3 Necromancer Expansion – Destiny 2

This week we are down to a much smaller core for the AggroChat podcast with Thalen off exploring Japan and making us all jealous, and Grace needing to deal with some family stuff.  The irony is there was a time when three members of the podcast was the norm but it is funny how much smaller the group feels when we are down a few now.  For years I wondered if we would ever get used to recording with as big of a group as we often do… and I guess the answer to that is a resounding yes.  As far as the show… this is yet another one of those “do we have anything to talk about?” episodes that ends up developing a life of its own.

  • Tanking in WoW and FFXIV
  • Mark of the Ninja
  • Ronin
  • Tenchu
  • Ninja Gaiden
