Tonight we record our June 2018 Game of the Month Show for the quirky parody RPG Evoland 2.  This was Ashgar’s pick because it largely expands on the part of Evoland 1 that felt really good.  We talk about what the game does extremely well and how it fell a little short by maybe letting some of the sequences outstay its welcome.  We also talk a bit about the July Game of the Month that we will be playing next month.

Last week we went into the show with a long list of topics, and then wound up only talking about the news coming out of E3 2018.  This week we attempt to pick up the pieces left on the cutting room floor and move on with some of the topics we missed. Bel talks a bit about getting into the survival mode in The Division.  Tam discusses his journies into PSVR with Rez, Skyrim and Moss. Bel talks a bit about firing back up Elder Scrolls Online. We talk a bit about the release of Hollow Knight for the Switch and the beginning of Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta with its new Forbidden mode.

AggroChat #206 – Heroes of Hammerwatch Show

Tonight we talk about the May AggroChat Game Club game…  Heroes of Hammerwatch. This was Belghast’s pick who largely though we needed a much more relaxing game after the deep feels that A Night in the Woods gave us.  Additionally the first one was a lot of fun and it was well worth exploring what the indirect sequel had to offer. This leads us down a path where we talk about the differences between Rogue-lite and Rogue-like as well as some discussion about procedural generation versus hand built maps.  We also talk a bit about the June game of the month Evoland 2.
